Hello people — I’ve been MIA this past week and I owe you a cozy update. 💙
I usually love showing up here to chat about parenting, mental health, and all the wild ups and downs in between. But this past week? I was deep in one of the biggest boss battles of all — bringing our 3rd (and maybe last) baby into the world. And let me tell you: it was WILD!
💧 It All Started at 6AM…
I woke up to that “uh-oh” moment — my water broke (I actually thought I peed myself lol) ! No warning, no contractions yet. Just a sudden realization that our little one was ready to spawn IRL.
As calm as ever (this was baby number 3, after all), I grabbed a bowl of noodles 🍜 for breakfast — because hey, priorities — and began prepping for the day. Thankfully, we live just a 5-minute walk from the hospital, so my husband and I made our way there in no rush, soaking in those last peaceful moments before everything kicked off.
💤 Chill Vibes… Until They Weren’t
I was admitted into Labor & Delivery and everything was… surprisingly chill at first. I even managed to take a short nap (which, if you’re a parent, you know is a precious luxury 😴). But by 12pm, things turned real sharp, real fast.
The contractions hit with full force and I was officially in “where is the pause button!?” mode.
⏰ At 1:27PM… We Leveled Up
After some intense final moments (and a lot of deep breathing while holding onto my partner), our beautiful baby arrived at 1:27PM. A perfect little soul with the tiniest fingers and the loudest cry — letting the world know her arrival, ready to join our chaotic little squad.
This pregnancy was my most uncomfortable one yet — physically exhausting, emotionally heavy, and just downright rough some days. But that moment of holding our baby? 100% worth every bit of it. 🩵
👨👩👧👦 We Are Now Officially a Party of Five 5️⃣
We’re still adjusting, soaking in the snuggles, and embracing the newborn fog. My toddler is still trying to grasp the new reality, while my 12-year-old is already showing big sib pride, and the cats… well, they’re curious, suspicious, and quite offended by the new noise machine.
To those of you wondering where I disappeared to — thank you for your patience and love. I’m back, a little sleep-deprived, a lot more emotional, and totally full of gratitude.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me — through every contraction, meltdown, and midnight ramen craving.
See you in the next post — now with more baby photos and even less sleep!
